I'm just beginning to explore the excitement and pleasures of painting a picture for my own reasons, not those of a client. There is so much to be discovered in the process of creating each new image--so much subtlety and nuance. Painting as an act of revelation is the most subtle and responsive instrument for translating thought and emotion into visual form that I've yet experienced. I love it!
